Here is a new comic about Phoenix, a stray cat from the Philippines. It’s a bit of a Debbie Downer compared to my usual autobiographical delusions-of-grandeur-illustrated-by-cheap-puns style but it’s something I had to do.
I was very affected by Phoenix’s situation and story, the latter of which went viral for the brief moment that is a lifespan on the interwebs. He was rescued by P.A.R.T., who in turn received donations from around the world.
As opinionated as I am, I can’t stand people who are preachy, so I try (for the most part) to keep my mouth shut when, say, I see idiotic posts from people whose beliefs contradict mine.
But I do believe that as human beings, we have the responsibility to be KIND. Animals kill to eat and survive—hey, nothing personal—and we do too. I’m a meat-eating, leather-wearing kind of gal and can’t speak for PETA but I will proudly proclaim that there’s absolutely no reason for any living being to hurt another for the sole purpose of enjoyment.
Animals don’t do it, why do we?
